For the first time, Portrait Milano transforms into an open-air cinema for six exciting evenings in collaboration with Sky Cinema. The film selection includes the most successful Italian movies of the last cinema season.
THE ITALIAN SUMMER HAS NO TIME.
IT’S NOT MEASURED IN DAYS,
BUT IN MOMENTS TO TREASURE.
IT’S THE SLOW RHYTHM OF A BICYCLE
CROSSING A SQUARE,
AN ICE CREAM IN YOUR HANDS,
APERITIVO AT SUNSET,
A MOVIE UNDER THE STARS.
PORTRAITS OF AN ITALIAN SUMMER:
EMOTIONS ETCHED IN TIME.
From June 19th to July 13th, Portrait Milano launches its first summer program in collaboration with Sky Cinema and Sammontana: Portraits of an Italian Summer, a collective narrative made of memories, experiences, visions, and flavors.
Starting from the square as the iconic epicenter of summer life, Portrait Milano pays tribute to Italian tradition by offering the city and its guests a calendar of events centered around cinema, music, and taste.

The Piazza comes alive with music, voices, and rhythm. Among the most exciting moments of the Italian Summer is the jazz concert in collaboration with Steinway & Sons, featuring young pianist Francesco Cavestri with a musical program dedicated to the soundtracks from famous Italian films.
Like any piazza in summer, ours will also feature a gelato kiosk by Sammontana, a beloved Italian brand synonym of summer for many Italians. Don’t miss out on the 10_11’s summer treats from brioche with granita at breakfast until the traditional Midnight Spaghettata.
As part of the Portraits of an Italian Summer project, photographer Alessia Morellini presents a series of evocative shots
that capture the Italian Summer through images suspended between reality and imagination.
You are invited to take part in the Portraits of an Italian Summer project, with the promise that:
WHAT REMAINS IS THE EMOTION.
