We are in Florence, along the most beautiful stretch of the road that runs beside the Arno: a living river, in constant motion—like the city, like us.

Our Daily Commitment
The Planet
At Gallery Hotel Art, we are committed every day to protecting and preserving our planet and its most precious resources by developing strategies and initiatives that minimize the environmental impacts of our daily operations:
- We change linens every three days—unless our guests prefer otherwise—to reduce water and energy consumption. A small pinecone in each room helps us communicate this initiative and share our vision with those staying at our hotel.
- We partner with Clean the World to recycle hotel toiletries and distribute them to communities in need.
- We have eliminated printed check-out documentation, replacing it with a digital version on iPad.
- We have removed printed in-room directories, now accessible through a QR code.
- We have adopted low-voltage lighting and scheduled automatic on/off times to optimize energy use.
- Sensor-activated taps in public areas help reduce water waste.
- We have reduced single-use plastics by replacing them with paper cases and wooden accessories.
- We offer the Bottega Refill Standard, with environmentally friendly paper bags.
- A water station in the lobby allows guests to refill reusable bottles, helping to reduce plastic waste. We invite guests to use or purchase our personalized thermal bottles.
- In-room, we offer Smeraldina water in FSC®-certified packaging and have invested in a filtration system to reduce transport and waste.
Through RE-CIG®, we recycle cigarette butts and turn them into reusable materials.
Sustainability at the Table
- Biodegradable straws for all beverages and cocktails.
- Compostable napkins, collected with organic waste.
- Compostable materials for the breakfast buffet and take-away service.
- Dispensers for jams and honey replace single-portion containers to reduce waste.
- A selection of local, zero-kilometre products, such as Mugello fruit juices and Mukki yogurt, to support regional excellence.
The Territory
Being welcomed to Florence also means giving back to the city’s beauty.
We support Angeli del Bello, contributing to the care and upkeep of Florence’s public spaces.
We also help promote the territory and local products, celebrating the excellence that makes our cultural and culinary heritage unique.

For us, sustainability is not only environmental—it is also human.
We respect and protect workers’ rights, ensuring safe, inclusive, and healthy workplaces.
We collaborate with organizations to include protected categories in the workforce, and we promote training and internship programs for the new generations.

Issued by Dream&Charme and recognized by ACCREDIA, it certifies the quality and sustainability of our properties and complies with the European anti-greenwashing regulation 825/24, based on more than 1,200 evaluation parameters.
Thanks to this certification, Booking.com has recognized us with Travel Sustainable Level 3+.
