At Portrait Milano, nature is not just a decorative element but an integral part of our vision for sustainable hospitality. In the heart of the city, our green spaces are designed to reflect harmony, beauty, and respect for resources.
Inspired by the original principles of self-sufficiency of the former Seminary, we restored the ancient rainwater cistern located in the garden, bringing it back into full use. With a capacity of 60 m³, the cistern now supplies irrigation for the plants and flowers in the garden and the Piazza through a dedicated piping system.
This initiative has resulted in significant water savings: in 2024, water consumption was reduced by 70% compared to the previous year.
We have also given new life to the historic garden by reintroducing native plants and expanding green areas in the Piazza, returning an authentic and refreshing natural space to the city.
