“On the cotton road” - tribute to Senegal's cotton production

Vicolo dell’Oro welcomes a new art project, narrating the vanishing tradition of cotton farming, the production of African textiles and fashion inspirations

The Gallery Hotel Art, in collaboration with documentary photographer Maroussia Mbaye and designer and owner of IMI & KIMI fashion brand, Henri Philippe Maidou, will exhibit the ecological, ethical and traditional artistry of cotton and its journey from farm to fashion.

The installation will include 23 black & white images and portraits of men & women on route for a better future, an expression of aspirations and personalities, instantly capturing you. The addition of interactive mannequins dressed in colourful clothing inspired by and using African textiles add a burst of colour and bring to life this harmonious tribute to a humanitarian tail untold.
