Art & Design

For Lungarno Collection, art has never been a matter of ornament. It is a genuine value — a living part of how we welcome our guests and of the identity that defines each of our brands. It is a form of beauty that inspires, a creative presence that takes shape within our spaces and becomes a shared language with those who stay with us, opening a dialogue with the city around us.

Art has always been integral to our hotels: in the exhibitions that animate our interiors, in the artistic projects that extend into guest rooms and into the cities that host us, and in permanent collections that do more than decorate — they help shape the very character of each place. Every work reflects a point of view; every detail expresses our approach to hospitality, where beauty is never an end in itself, but an experience — a source of exchange, emotion, and connection.

The selection of images that follows offers only a glimpse of what has been built and cultivated over the past thirty years: a journey shaped by research, intuition, and considered risk, in which art remains central to a continuing story of elegance, sensitivity, and enduring beauty.

“Like a grand cruise ship sailing down the river this period townhouse is the only one that literally sits over the Arno. Colours such as  blue and white were used to accentuate the sense of being, endlessly drifting on the Arno but with the Ponte Vecchio( Florence’s iconic symbol) as your point of reference. The sense of sailing, the constant river view contrasted beautifully with that of a cozy home. This included adding 400 pieces of art from Picasso, Bueno to Cocteau in the lobbies and guestrooms whilst remembering the fashion heritage with leather symbols and a retrospective of 1950’s fashion at the Borgo San Jacopo Restaurant”
